CMA Election Results

The CMA election for president-elect, secretary and treasurer ended April 10 and was certified this morning by board representative Sacha DeVroomen Bellman.

Twenty-one percent of the membership voted (98 people).
Here are the results.

Our bylaw changes passed by 97.6 percent to 2.4 percent with 81 votes for and two against.

President-elect:
Matthew Bird-Meyer  -- 93 votes

Secretary:
Amy Roquemore -- 70 votes (74.4%)
Thomas Grant -- 24 votes (25.4%)

Treasurer:
Andrea Lewis -- 90 votes

Congratulations to Matt,  Amy and Andrea on their election to the CMA board.

CMA policy states "Any candidate receiving 50 percent plus 1 of the total number of ballots will be declared the elected candidate. In the case that no candidate receives a 50 percent plus 1 majority, a run-off election will be conducted between the two candidates with the most votes." Because each candidate received more than the majority, no run-off election is needed.

Thank you to all the candidates and to all of the membership who cast votes in this election.
