Noel Ross Strader Memorial Award Winners

This distinguished award honors the memory and legacy of a longtime University of Houston professor and administrator whose career was devoted to the advancement of journalism education. Established to recognize exceptional courage and contribution in student media, the award is presented only when a candidate of truly outstanding merit is brought forward.

Recipients are full-time teachers or advisers in campus journalism who have either upheld the principles of press freedom at personal or professional risk, or made a significant and lasting contribution to the graphic design or physical development of a campus publication.
